Smoking Addiction BBQ is a family-team based out of Manitowoc, WI.  We are a KCBS competition team founded in 2009. Team founding members include Kevin, Ben, Joel and Andy Schmitt.


We use the best-of-breed equipment to create what we believe to be damn tasty BBQ.  St. Louis-style ribs, succulent chicken thighs, tangy and juicy pulled pork, tender brisket and some amazing baked beans are what we make. 

 

Team Smoking Addiction plans on competing in 6 - 8 competitions in 2010 spanning Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa.  We are in beginning our 2010 season and we are anxious to kick things into high BBQ gear.

Marshalltown, IA - our toughest competition yet Our second KCBS contest of the year is on the books - we finished 31st out of 63 exceptional teams. While we are not satisfied being in the “middle”, we are happy with our numbers. The scores we received at this contest show steady improvement - had we received the same scores in the Dells competition, we’d have placed 6th there. Why? Simple - the teams at Marshalltown were simply that good......
