The Dells BBQ  Bash was our first competition of 2010...as you can see, our trailer was prepared for the event with our full graphics and sponsor signage in-place.  The team was charged with building the ultimate BBQ trailer....running water, heat/AC, electricity, bunks, sinks, etc.

We finished the contest with a 27th overall ranking (out of 60 teams)...we had hoped to do better.  Our breakneck pace of preparing the trailer for the competition didn’t leave us much time to actually practice cooking.  Our category results are as follows:

27th out of 60 Overall

Chicken: 43rd out of 60

Ribs: 18th out of 60

Pork: 19th out of 60

Brisket: 30th out of 60

We are not bitterly disappointed but had really hoped to debut new chicken and brisket recipes with better results.  Obviously we have better days ahead of us as both chicken and brisket continue to challenge the team.

The team this competition included Kevin, Andy, Joel, Ben and Casey Schmitt.  We had a blast talking with other teams and now that our first contest is under our belts...we know that the Schmitt Brothers will come out swinging at our next contest.
